The Russian Ministry of Defense published video footage of two strategic Tu-22M3 bombers flying over neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
The published footage shows the moment of takeoff and flight of the aircraft, with part of the video recorded directly from the pilots' cockpit. Russian military officials reported that Su-35 and Su-30 fighter crews from the Aerospace Forces provided escort for the bombers.

The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that long-range aviation crews regularly conduct flights over neutral waters of various seas, including the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, Baltic and Black Seas.
Previously, a similar planned five-hour flight of Tu-22M3 bombers over the Baltic Sea had occurred in December of last year.
