President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the progress of trilateral negotiations between Ukrainian, American, and Russian delegations taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
Details of Negotiations
According to the head of state, this is the first trilateral meeting format in a long time. The Ukrainian delegation, which includes Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, David Arahamia, and Serhii Kyslytsya, is conducting active diplomatic negotiations.
Ukraine's Position
Zelenskyy emphasized clear Ukrainian positions: "The main thing is that Russia is ready to end the war it started itself." The President stressed that tomorrow, the Chief of the General Staff General Andrii Hnatov and the representative of the GUR Vadym Skibitskyi will join the negotiations.
Expectations and Perspectives
"It is too early to draw conclusions about the results of the negotiations. We will see how the conversation goes tomorrow," the president noted. He emphasized the importance of not only Ukraine's desire to end the war but also forming a corresponding desire from the Russian side.
As of today, the delegation is constantly in touch and reports to the president on the course of the meeting.
