President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held final consultations today with candidates for the position of the new head of the Office of the President (OP). During his evening address, Zelensky confirmed the importance of this position, especially after the resignation of Andriy Yermak, which was a result of corruption scandals and internal audits.

In particular, among the six probable candidates, the most discussed is the candidacy of the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. “Today I held additional meetings with candidates for the position of the new head of the Office of the President. We discussed the working formats of the office and the interaction with other state institutions that is necessary for the interests of Ukraine,” the President noted.

Consultations for Stability

Zelensky emphasized that a decision regarding the new head of the OP will be made in the near future after all consultations are completed. This change is part of the reloading of the Office of the President, which involves updating the team to effectively respond to the challenges facing the country.

The president also touched on other relevant issues in his address, including upcoming meetings with teams of international partners that may influence the further development of the war with Russia. “Our goal is to obtain complete information about the negotiations in Moscow. Ukraine is ready for any scenario of events and seeks constructive cooperation with all international partners,” the head of state emphasized.

It is worth reminding that Andriy Yermak resigned on November 28 of this year, and the current situation in the Office of the President is generating significant interest from the public and political analysts.
