The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) has issued an urgent warning about complex weather conditions affecting over 20 regions of the country.

Storm Warning Details

Meteorologists from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center forecast a sharp deterioration in weather conditions in the coming days, including:

  • Heavy snow and blizzards are expected in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions
  • Significant rainfall with wet snow is forecast for Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions
  • Storm winds with speeds of 15-20 m/s will cover 20 regions of the country

Recommendations for the Population

The SES urges citizens to be extremely careful: "Drivers and pedestrians, be alert! Due to strong winds and ice, road conditions can be critical. Plan your trips in advance. Better yet, if possible, avoid traveling altogether!"

Temperature Forecast

Temperatures are expected to drop to -11-19°C at night, and -7-15°C during the day. In the south and east of the country, temperatures will range from -5°C to +3°C.

Ukrainians are advised to avoid unnecessary trips and be prepared for challenging weather conditions.
