In a new escalation of military actions by the Russian Federation, the country’s aggressor aviation is preparing for a new combined strike on Ukraine. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, reported that the strategic bombers Tu-95MS, despite recent incidents at the Engels-2 airbase, are in the air and moving towards new combat missions.
According to monitoring sources, on November 28, three Tu-95MS aircraft were lifted into the air from the "Ukrainka" airfield in the Amur region. This information has been confirmed by several sources, which also recorded that the planes have already reached a new base in the Irkutsk region. It is currently unknown whether the Tu-95MS have landed in these areas or continue their flight.
Attack capabilities of the bombers
The Tu-95MS can carry up to eight X-101 cruise missiles, meaning that a powerful attack on Ukrainian territories is possible with a maximum salvo of up to 24 missiles. The Ukrainian Air Force has not yet recorded the activation of Russian aviation, but the threat remains relevant.
Latest news from the front
The situation is tense. On November 28, Russian military launched X-47M2 "Dagger" missiles towards the Ukrainian city of Starokostyantyniv, where explosions occurred as a result of the attack. According to the latest reports, an attack on critical infrastructure facilities in Sumy has also been recorded, resulting in injuries to civilians.
Kovalenko emphasized that despite the fires and explosions at the Engels-2 base, the enemy continues to prepare for future strikes, and the situation requires heightened attention from the Ukrainian military forces.
