The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Navy AFU) conducted another successful attack this week on strategically important targets in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to military sources, a command and control point of the Russian Federation was hit, as well as storage sites for modern strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) "Orion".
The operation was carried out in cooperation with units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the official statement from the Navy, the attack took place at the "Saki" airfield, where, besides the command post, air defense facilities were also hit, including the Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1 missile systems.
As a result of the successful operation, the AFU targeted the "heart" of the airfield, significantly complicating the management of enemy aviation flights. Mobile enemy fire installations, specifically the ZU-23-2 mounted on a KamAZ truck, were also caught in the fire.
"Reducing the enemy's combat capabilities is another step towards victory!" emphasized the press center of the Navy AFU.
This attack is part of systematic efforts by the AFU aimed at destroying the enemy's military infrastructure in Crimea, which significantly enhances Ukraine's defense capabilities. The military assures that similar operations will continue in the future.
Earlier, the AFU headquarters reported strikes on the Saratov oil refinery and other facilities of the Russian military infrastructure in Crimea, confirming a targeted strategy to defend Ukrainian territories.
