Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have reported striking 29 more energy facilities as part of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in Crimea.
The information was reported by Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, on Facebook.
According to the Ukrainian military, 240 energy facilities have been successfully targeted since the operation began on July 1 and through August 13.
Among the facilities reportedly hit was the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant in Sevastopol, Crimea.
The reported targets also included several high-voltage substations in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, including the 150 kV Bilmak substation in Kamianka, the 150 kV Berdianska and 110 kV HPP substations in Berdiansk, the 110 kV Primorska substation in Prymorske, and the 150 kV Chernihivka substation.
A gas distribution facility, GRS-1 Mariupol, in the occupied city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, was also reportedly targeted.
In addition to energy infrastructure, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces said their operation targeted a Nebo-U radar station, a command post responsible for strike drones, and fuel and lubricant storage facilities used by Russian forces in the occupied territories.
The Ukrainian military says attacks on energy infrastructure are intended, among other things, to disrupt the operation of Russian military facilities and air-defense systems in the occupied territories.
At the same time, the extent of damage to the reported targets has not been independently verified.
