Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 112 drones of various types on the evening of August 13 and overnight into August 14. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 90 enemy UAVs.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack began at 6:00 p.m. on August 13. Russia used Shahed strike drones, as well as Gerbera drones and Parody decoys.
The UAVs were launched from several directions, including Kursk, Millerovo and Oryol in Russia, as well as the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Ukrainian forces used aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups to repel the attack.
As of 8:00 a.m. on August 14, Ukrainian air defenses had destroyed or suppressed 90 drones across the northern, southern and eastern parts of the country.
Falling drones and their debris were recorded at 11 locations, while explosions involving downed enemy UAVs were reported at six other sites.
At the time of the Air Force's report, the attack was still ongoing, with several Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
During the attack, Russian forces also struck a critical infrastructure facility and a civilian enterprise in the Zhytomyr region.
