Details of the Morning Attack on Brody
On January 27 at 07:18, an air raid alert was announced for the Zolochiv district in the Lviv region due to the threat of Russian drones. The Air Force reported that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were moving towards the settlement of Brody in the north of the Lviv region.
Soon, explosions were heard in the city, followed by smoke rising over the impact site. The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that the enemy had struck an infrastructure facility.
Context of the Attack
Recall that this is another episode of Russian aggression against Ukraine. Earlier, on January 8, Russia had already struck the Lviv region with a medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik".
According to Bild journalist Julian Röpcke, such attacks may be an attempt to intimidate European countries planning to finance Ukraine's post-war reconstruction.
