The former spokesperson for the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, expressed her concerns regarding the former head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak in an interview with "Radio Liberty," calling him "a very dangerous person." She emphasized that she has serious reasons to fear for her life due to Yermak's influence and actions.
Mendel noted that Yermak had significant influence over President Zelensky, often blocking the implementation of decisions made by the head of state. "There were instances when he called officials and asked them not to carry out what the president had instructed," Mendel said, highlighting that Yermak controlled the flow of information and decisions within the Ukrainian government.
The former press secretary recalled that Yermak had inquired in 2019 from a political consultant in the USA about how to become president. "This indicates his political ambitions," she noted, emphasizing that even after his resignation, Yermak could maintain influence over important political processes in Ukraine.
Mendel also pointed out that it was Yermak who assured Zelensky that there would be no full-scale invasion from Russia, which she believes was a serious mistake that led to the worsening of the situation in the country. "I am scared. I pray to God every day that I am alive," she added.
In conclusion, Mendel emphasized that Yermak remains "the most dangerous person" in the current political structure of Ukraine, stating that many people have suffered negative consequences due to his actions.
