As of today, Ukrainians have submitted over 14 million applications for assistance under the "Winter Support" program. Of these, 11.5 million were processed through the mobile application "Diia." The second wave of payments of 1,000 hryvnias began on December 1, which 2.5 million citizens who submitted their applications can expect to receive.
Who is eligible for the payment and when will they receive it?
The payment will be received by those who submitted their application on the second day of the program's launch. Among the recipients are parents applying for funds for their children. The total amount of assistance in the second wave exceeds 3 billion hryvnias. To receive assistance, it is important that the application is submitted through "Diia" or directly at the "Ukrposhta" offices. Only those who are on the territory of Ukraine are entitled to receive payments.
Ukrainians' expenditures
As of early December, 3.5 million Ukrainians have already received one thousand hryvnias. The funds are most often spent on utility payments—over 80% of expenditures—as well as on books, medical supplies, and donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, expenditures from the program have reached 473 million hryvnias.
How to apply?
To apply for the thousand hryvnias, you need to select the "Winter Support" option in the "Services" section of the "Diia" application and click "Start." After that, you will fill in the information to generate the payment, indicating whether the payment is for yourself or for a child. It is important to note that applications can be submitted until December 24, 2023.
Additional information about the program can be obtained through the "Ukrposhta" hotline or by visiting its offices.
