On the night of December 20, the Russian army launched another attack on the Mykolaiv region, leaving some localities without power. This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

According to him, the attacks affected the Bashtansky, Mykolaiv, and partially Voznesensky districts. All critical and social infrastructure facilities have been switched to generators and alternative power sources, ensuring the operation of heating, water supply, and sewage systems. Measures are being taken to stabilize mobile communication.

Despite the attacks, autonomous trolleybuses, buses, and private transport have been launched into operation in Mykolaiv. Kim emphasized that energy workers are gradually restoring power supply to consumers.

Massive Drone Attack

Russian attacking unmanned aerial vehicles caused fires on the territory of a car garage cooperative in Mykolaiv, destroying two garages, a car, and a tractor. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine swiftly extinguished the fire, which covered an area of about 50 square meters. An additional five garages and one car were also damaged.

Fortunately, no citizens were injured during the attack. Similar assaults continued on December 19, when the Russians launched missile strikes on the port infrastructure of the Odesa region, resulting in the deaths of eight people and injuries to another 27.

Vitaliy Kim noted that restoration work is ongoing, and the situation is gradually stabilizing.
