Google presented its annual ranking of search queries that saw the most significant increase in interest among Ukrainian users in 2025. This list includes topics that had a substantial impact on the information agenda, ranging from household queries and TV shows to political events and social discussions.

Most Frequent Queries

Just like last year, the top spot in the overall ranking was once again held by the query “Electricity Outage Schedule.” Despite improvements in the energy supply situation, Ukrainians continued to actively monitor possible outages and updates to the schedules.

Second place went to the popular TV project “Bachelor 2025,” while third place was occupied by the premiere of the second season of the series “Squid Game 2,” which became one of the most discussed events of the year. The top 10 also included queries for “labubu,” boxing from Usyk vs. Dubois, Eurovision 2025, and NABU.

Persons of the Year

The highest growth in interest among personalities this year was seen for boxer Oleksandr Usyk—due to his fights, public events, and media resonance.

Ukrainians also actively sought information about the actor and main character of the new season of “Bachelor,” Taras Tsymbaliuk, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, as well as the First Lady of the USA, Melania Trump.

Losses of the Year

In the “Gone Forever” category, queries related to the deaths of prominent Ukrainian and world figures were included. Users primarily searched for information about blogger Anna Zhuk, Ukrainian politician Andriy Parubiy, actor Roman Popov, and rock musician Ozzy Osbourne.

Most Interesting Movies in 2025

The greatest interest among newcomers was sparked by the sci-fi action film “The Abyss.” In second place was the gothic horror “Nosferatu,” and third place was claimed by the drama “Good Bad Girl.”
