Large-Scale Anti-Corruption Operation in the Verkhovna Rada

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) conducted a large-scale operation to expose an organized criminal group among People's Deputies from the "Servant of the People" party.

Detained Deputies

According to law enforcement, four People's Deputies are suspected:

  • Yevhen Pyvovarov
  • Ihor Nehulevskyi
  • Olha Savchenko
  • Yurii Kysel

Criminal Proceedings Details

The investigation established that deputies systematically received illegal benefits for voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. They are charged with Articles 368 (receiving illegal benefits), 255 (creating a criminal organization), and 369 (providing illegal benefits) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigation Progress

During investigative actions in the Rada committees, there was a confrontation with the State Protection Department, which temporarily tried to obstruct NABU detectives' work. Later, investigators were able to enter the committee premises.

The investigation began under the previous NABU leadership, when the deceased deputy Anton Poliakov reported envelope salaries for MPs ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.

Investigative actions are ongoing, and additional suspicions may be announced based on the results.
