Famous Russian singer Larisa Dolina has found herself at the center of a scandal related to the sale of her apartment. In 2024, she claimed that she became a victim of fraudsters who forced her to sell her property in Moscow. However, it turned out that the real buyer was 34-year-old Polina Lurye, who was unaware of the fraudulent scheme.

As a result of the investigation, the court ruled that Dolina was "mentally unstable" at the time of the transaction. Thus, the singer not only regained her apartment but also 112 million rubles (approximately $1.5 million). This decision was seen as unjust by many, including Lurye herself, who was left homeless and without money.

This term describes the situation when a real estate seller attempts to contest a sale after the transaction, claiming to have been a victim of fraudsters. According to Rosreestr, more than three thousand transactions involving elderly individuals who became victims of similar schemes were declared invalid in 2024.
