The ex-wife of politician Serhiy Lyovochkin, artist Zinaida Kubar, made accusations against her former civil partner. She claims that she received threats and experienced harassment from him, and also stated that Lyovochkin influenced the transfer of her beloved, who is a serviceman, to another unit.
In her post, Kubar mentioned that she believes decisions regarding her partner's activities were made under the influence of Lyovochkin. "It pains me greatly to write this, but I have grounds to assert publicly: the decision regarding the place of service of the serviceman with whom I am in a relationship is made under the influence of Lyovochkin," she wrote.
Zinaida Kubar noted that she had been in a relationship with Lyovochkin for many years, calling it "one big mistake." "Serhiy and I have not been together for a long time, and the path I’m taking today is defined by my work with the military and volunteerism," she remarked.
The woman hinted at serious consequences for her beloved due to Lyovochkin's actions: "Serhiy threatened that my partner could be 'punished by service.' This happened when my husband was unexpectedly transferred to another unit without any explanations."
Kubar also pointed out that "the fates of Lyovochkin's sons" are deliberately interfering with her current beloved, and that "there was no request for transfer from his commanders." She expressed dissatisfaction that a politician, who has a certain reputation, can still influence decisions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In recent years, according to journalists, Lyovochkin has avoided publicity, appearing in Ukraine only from time to time, trying to stay out of the spotlight. In 2019, he was elected as a people's deputy, but his recent actions raise concerns about influence on national security.
Meanwhile, Zinaida Kubar assured that her beloved "is honored to defend Ukraine" and is ready for challenges. This resonant case raises questions about how much politicians can interfere in the work of the Armed Forces.
