On the night of December 6, the Russian Federation launched a new massive attack on Ukraine, using drones, ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal missiles. The operation took place simultaneously in several regions of the country, including Dnipro and Fastiv near Kyiv.
Chronicle of Events
According to RBC-Ukraine, the attack began in the evening. The enemy launched swarms of drones from the north and east, as well as from territories currently under the control of the occupiers in southern Ukraine. Around 01:20, a missile danger alert was declared across the entire country.
Numerous explosions were recorded in Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region. Acting Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Vladislav Haivenenko, reported that the region was subjected to attacks, including strikes on civilian targets.
Tragedy in Dnipropetrovsk Region
As a result of the Russian attack in the Synelnykove district, a 12-year-old boy was killed, and his parents were seriously injured. The explosions occurred in a residential area, where one private house was destroyed and another was damaged. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Vladislav Haivenenko.
Response of Local Authorities
Local authorities are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. There are reports of significant damage, with both adults and children among the victims. Fires also broke out in Novyi Petrivtsi near Kyiv, where damage to railway infrastructure has been recorded.
The attack is ongoing, with new drone launches and potential missile strikes from the Russian strategic aviation command. The situation remains tense, and authorities urge the population to adhere to safety measures.
