Today, December 6, 2025, hostile Russian drones have been detected in the airspace of Kyiv region. The air defense forces are actively working to neutralize the threat. This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration via Telegram.
According to information from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are moving from the Chernihiv region towards Yahotyn in the Kyiv region. For safety reasons, part of the territory of the region has been declared in a state of air alert, as confirmed by the alert map.
Russian Drone Tactics
The latest news indicates that the Russian drones attacking Ukraine are using complex trajectories to distract the attention of air defense systems. In particular, information about the initial movements of the drone groups has been recorded in the west and south of the Sumy region. Consequently, one of the drone groups has split into several directions, including towards Chernihiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.
In particular, drone movement has been registered towards Cherkasy and Kyiv regions. Military experts note that this tactic is employed to strike at infrastructure simultaneously in several areas.
Official Data and Enemy Losses
According to frontline data, over the past day, the losses of Russian troops in the war against Ukraine have significantly increased, reaching 1,178,610 personnel, of which 1,240 invaders were eliminated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
