On Sunday, a horrific terrorist attack occurred at Bondi Beach in Sydney during the celebration of Hanukkah, resulting in the deaths of 15 people, including an emigrant from Ukraine.

Eyewitnesses recount: a 65-year-old man, who attempted to protect his wife Larisa Kleitman, became a victim of the shooting. "I think he was shot when he stood up to protect me, and the bullet hit him right in the back of the head," Larisa said.

According to reports from the Australian police, the shooting was carried out by a father and son. The 50-year-old shooter was shot dead at the scene, while his 24-year-old son is currently in critical condition in the hospital. Authorities have classified this attack as a targeted anti-Semitic terrorist act. Police also noted that several other individuals were injured, including two police officers, whose lives are currently not in danger.

During the Hanukkah celebration, which took place in a park near the beach, about a thousand people were present. The shooting occurred during a festive prayer, which apparently only heightened the panic among those present.

The shooting has generated significant resonance among the local population and the public. Appropriate services have already begun an investigation, but the outrage and sorrow over the deceased remains a deep topic of reflection in society.
