In Kryukivshchyna, near Kyiv, residents of the residential complex "Eurocity" held a protest and blocked the road due to a lack of electricity supply that has lasted for two days — since December 6. The protesters demand an urgent solution to the lighting issue, which has still not been resolved as of today, December 7.

Reasons for the Power Outage

According to information provided by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the prolonged power outage resulted from a series of accidents in the 10 kV networks caused by network overload. As a result, underground network cables burned out, significantly complicating the process of restoring the electricity supply.

Reaction of Authorities and Energy Workers

The company "DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks" reported that emergency crews are working at the scene and are making every effort to restore power as quickly as possible. The estimated time for the return of electricity is today at 21:00. Authorities have also urged residents to be cautious and gradually turn on electrical appliances after power is restored to avoid overloading the grid.

It is worth noting that similar problems with electricity supply have arisen due to the escalation of the situation in our country, particularly due to hostile attacks on energy infrastructure. Residents of Kryukivshchyna should be prepared for possible new outages in the coming days.
