Starting December 8, 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will introduce a new format for the military accounting document in the mobile application "Reserve+". As Oleg Berestovyi, head of the Main Department of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Defense, reported, the document will now include photos of reservists, which will be a mandatory innovation.

“We launched 'Reserve+' with a photo. Within a few days, users will be able to obtain their photo on the document. This format with a QR code will eliminate forgery,” Berestovyi noted during the Digital Defence Forum. He emphasized that any changes in the data will render the document invalid: “If something has changed - this document is invalid. You must generate it again and print a new one.”

Enhancements to the "Reserve+" system

In addition to implementing photographs, the Ministry of Defense also plans to expand the functionality of the "Reserve+" system in 2026. According to Myroslav Banik, head of digital products at the Ministry of Defense, the updates will aim at automating the process of military medical commissions (VLC) and eliminating delays in document processing. “We have a clear vision for the development of 'Reserve+' to reduce the waiting time for documents and ensure their proper issuance,” he stressed.

New "Mobilized Check-In" System

The Ministry of Defense is also launching the "Mobilized Check-In" initiative, which will allow for tracking the movements of reservists. Oleg Berestovyi discussed the capabilities of the new system during the forum: “The next step is the tracking of the reservist's path, which will help protect the rights of the parties and detect anomalies.” The first phase of the program will be electronic documents that are already being processed in the "Reserve+" system.

Thus, "Reserve+" will actively develop by adopting new technologies to improve the accounting of reservists in Ukraine, which will enhance the security and efficiency of mobilization processes.
