Nataliia Uvarova Palace
Where: Turchynivka village
The Tereshchenko-Uvarov Palace is a true gem of Zhytomyr. Built in a style of neo-Renaissance with Gothic elements, it impresses with terracotta walls, luxurious stucco interiors, and a family coat of arms on the facade. It was once a hub of life for the wealthy Tereshchenko family and later for their heiress Nataliia Uvarova.

Today, a vocational school operates here, so the building is maintained in good condition and is open for visitors. If you want to experience the atmosphere of former noble grandeur, Turchynivka definitely deserves a visit.

Today, the estate looks mysterious: the walls retaining the spirit of the era, arches, and balconies create an atmosphere of a forgotten fairy tale. This place particularly attracts photo travelers and lovers of "Instagrammable" landscapes.
Bread Museum
Where: Bilopillia village

The Bread Museum in Bilopillia is one of the architectural pearls of the 18th century and one of the prominent tourist attractions in Koziatyn region. The museum allows you to dive into the everyday life of a Ukrainian village from past centuries: here you can find unique farming tools from the 19th to early 20th centuries, equipment for processing technical crops, and exhibits illustrating beekeeping from the early 20th century.

Here, an ancient windmill from the 18th-19th centuries attracts attention, and in the open area, you can see agricultural machinery and traction equipment for soil cultivation. The complex includes a peasant hut, a barn, a well, a garden, and a fence made of wattle. The yard also houses an apiary, where you can see bees in action, and a well – the symbol of ancient traditions.
The Bread Museum is not just an exhibition; it is a real immersion into the rural culture and traditions that recreate the daily life of a Ukrainian peasant, their work, and way of life.
"Chaikovsky Spase"
Where: Halychyn town

This is a new format place that has become a cultural center for a small community. "Chaikovsky Spase" combines an exhibition hall, a place for lectures, concerts, and various art events. There are meetings with artists, film screenings, and musical evenings.

This place is created for inspiration and new discoveries. It is especially interesting for those who want to see how contemporary culture and creative industries are developing in Zhytomyr region.
Church of the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God
Where: Zhytomyr city
One of the oldest churches in the region, constructed in the 18th century. The temple is distinguished by its restrained yet exquisite architecture and unique icons.
The church is renowned for its special atmosphere of calmness and tranquility. It is a place where you can not only learn about history but also feel the spiritual connection of generations.
Gimmler’s Headquarters
Where: Huyva village

The "Hegewald" Headquarters is the secret command post of SS Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler, one of the few well-preserved sites of its kind in Europe. The bunkers with three-meter thick walls, camouflage among the forest, even a tennis court and horseback riding – all created the illusion of a "paradise" for Nazi leaders.

But the history of this place has a dark side: it was here that Himmler presented the "Ost" plan, and from here began the colonization of surrounding Ukrainian villages, with severe punishments for local disobedience.
Ivan Ohienko Museum
Where: Brusyliv town

Ivan Ohienko – an outstanding Ukrainian scientist, linguist, cultural figure, who went down in history as Metropolitan Ilarion. A museum has been organized in his native Brusyliv, preserving the memory of the scientist's life and work.

Here, you can see unique documents, books, personal belongings, and photographs that tell about a person who stood at the origins of Ukrainian science and education. A visit to the museum is a journey into the world of ideas that shaped Ukrainian identity.
The museum operates from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closed on Sunday and Monday. The ticket office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m..
Abrahamovich Synagogue
Where: Pavoloch village

This synagogue, built in the 19th century, is a valuable monument of Jewish culture in the Zhytomyr region. It is connected to the life and work of Jewish writer Mendele Moikher-Sforim (Sholem Yaakov Abramovich), who became one of the founders of modern Jewish literature.

Although the building has partly lost its original appearance, it retains the atmosphere of an ancient Jewish town. This place is significant not only for studying history but also for appreciating the cultural wealth of the region.
You can visit the site from Tuesday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday by prior arrangement only.
Myroliubivka Quarry
Where: Myroliubivka village

The natural decoration of Zhytomyr Region attracts visitors with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and picturesque rocky shores. The former granite quarry has become a popular spot for tourists and photographers.

This wonderful place is perfect for outdoor recreation, picnics, and even diving. The views of the quarry resemble seaside landscapes, creating a feeling that you are far beyond the borders of Ukraine.
Sokilivskyi Quarry
Where: Zhytomyr city

Another "pearl" among the artificial water bodies of the region. Sokilivskyi Quarry is famous for its high cliffs and depths exceeding 100 meters, creating an atmosphere of wilderness.
The quarry is particularly stunning at sunset when the rays reflect off the water, creating a magical spectrum of colors.
Malin Quarry "Kaluzha" and Underwater Museum
Where: Malyn city
The "Kaluzha" quarry near Malyn formed after flooding and is currently one of the most original locations for recreation. Its depth is only 15 meters, so divers jokingly call this water body "the puddle".

The water here is clear, and at the bottom, there is an underwater museum featuring an anchor, a boat, a motorcycle, a mine model, and other exhibits.

In summer, "Kaluzha" attracts not only experienced divers but also beachgoers: you can swim, sunbathe, or relax while camping.

Drevlyansky Park

Drevlyansky Park – formerly Ostrovskoho Park, received its new name due to the Drevlyan settlements located here, recognized as archaeological monuments. On an area of 8 hectares, part of the ancient fortifications has been recreated, creating a unique atmosphere of antiquity. The rocky shores of the Uzh River have long served as defensive fortifications.

The park is a real green oasis on the rocky banks of the Uzh River. It combines picturesque natural landscapes and historical monuments, including places associated with the legendary princess Olga. This place is perfect for family walks and educational tourism.
Koliba Museum-Restaurant
Where: Korosten city

This unique establishment combines gastronomic traditions and museum exhibits. "Koliba" is styled as an ancient Polissia abode: wooden logs, clay dishes, and old household items create a special atmosphere.

You can taste authentic Polissia dishes here, including a real derun baked in the oven. A visit to "Koliba" is not just a delicious dinner but also a plunge into the culture and traditions of Polissia.
Polissia Hut
Where: Horodske village

This is an open-air ethnographic museum that recreates the life and atmosphere of a Polissia village in the 19th-20th centuries. In the renovated hut, historical items are preserved: weaving looms, towels, traditional clothing, and tools.

Visitors can learn how the ancestors lived in Polissia, as well as participate in master classes in folk crafts. "Polissia Hut" is an ideal place for those who seek to experience true authenticity.
Viewing Platform "Chervona Hora"
Where: Horodske village
This natural location is famous for its captivating panoramas of the Teteriv River and the surroundings of the Horodske village.

The viewing platform "Chervona Hora" is a monument of the Trypilian culture. Archaeological findings from this area date back to the 3rd-2nd millennium B.C. Today, the hill attracts tourists with picturesque views and is an important historical location in the region.
Tubing Hill
Where: Horodske village

The tubing hill is mainly a winter attraction for the whole family. You can ride on inflatable sleds (tubes), experiencing the thrill of speed and winter adventures, as the length of the hill reaches 70 meters.
Even in summer, the hill transforms into an active recreation area, making this place appealing to tourists at any time of the year.
Artist's Hut
Where: Horodske village
In Horodske village, an old rural hut has become a true cultural phenomenon. Its owner is an artist who once exchanged his home for just five of his paintings. Since then, he has turned the yard into an amazing multicultural altar and the hut itself into a museum of antiquities.
Here you can see real treasures: an old Kyiv hryvnia, a lard barrel with a lock, plates that Honoré de Balzac once ate from, as well as statuettes from Easter Island. The historic stove adds to the atmosphere of authenticity, while in the rooms are the artist's own works. By the way, he makes unusual frames for his paintings himself.
The Artist's Hut is a place where Ukrainian traditions merge with the spirit of distant cultures, sure to surprise even experienced travelers.
Eko-space "Teterivskiy Kish"
Where: near Horodske village
The "Teterivskiy Kish" eco-space is a unique family educational and wellness center in a pine forest, situated between a lake and the Teteriv river. Here, ancient Slavic traditions and the practices of Cossacks are revived.

Guests can experience a life devoid of luxury yet in harmony with nature: tents with wooden floors, a sauna, summer showers, and an outdoor kitchen with a fire oven. Food is only natural and vegetarian, and instead of coffee and alcohol, there are herbal teas.
You can go through energy practices, train, try apitherapy, climb the climbing wall, zip-line across the river, enjoy rope parks, ride horses, and participate in folklore celebrations.
Deneshy Canyon or Teteriv Canyon

Deneshy Canyon is one of the most famous natural locations in the Zhytomyr region and one of the five most picturesque canyons in Ukraine. The rocky banks of the Teteriv River create stunning landscapes that impress with their beauty. Some of them reach heights from 20 to 100 meters.

Teteriv Canyon is a popular spot for climbers, photographers, and travelers. In summer, you can swim here, while in autumn and spring you can enjoy the vivid colors of nature. This is a place worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.
High Stone Canyon

Another natural pearl of the region is the "High Stone" canyon. Its feature is the enormous stone formations that rise above the river up to 10 meters, which likely led to its name "High Stone". There used to be a granite quarry here, and now a picturesque lake sprawls in its place.
