A bit about Van Gogh

Let's start by talking about the artist himself. To be honest, he could astonish and impress without animations, projections, and interactivity. Van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter, rightly recognized as one of the most influential artists in history.

His legacy includes over 2000 paintings, yet he never experienced true recognition during his lifetime. Global fame came only after his death. Today, Vincent's canvases are proudly housed in the world's most famous museums. There are also works in private collections.

Van Gogh's paintings are considered some of the most expensive in the world. For example, the canvas "Cypress Trees" was sold for an incredible $117 million.

He painted pain, color, light, and emotions that we can still read from his canvases, even through the centuries. Van Gogh's life was filled with tragic events and challenges. Vincent had a unique perspective on life, seeing it through the lens of strong emotions. This gave his works a special magic. His "Sunflowers," "Starry Night," and "Café Terrace at Night" will remain in the memory of even those who are not interested in art.

Today, these famous paintings have come to life anew, and this experience is incomparable to a traditional visit to museums.

What to expect at the "Universe of Van Gogh" exhibition?

In short, you will be able to completely immerse yourself in the artist's world. The paintings will not just be on the walls; you will actually find yourself in their environment. Around you, in a 360° format, more than 3000 animated images will be moving. The entire space will become a canvas, from the floor to the ceiling.

Here, you can forget about reality and fully immerse yourself in projections, music, and light.

To be more specific, the exhibition includes:

  • a multimedia hall with 360° projections;
  • interactive installations and a VR experience;
  • animated versions of the artist's most famous works;
  • a detailed recreation of the artist's bedroom;
  • a guided audio tour narrated by Oleksiy Sukhanov.

Powerful emotions will arise from the artist's letters to his brother Theo, with whom he was extraordinarily close. You will feel as if the artist is speaking about his life, works, and experiences directly to you.

Thanks to technology and the unique format, the exhibition creates a feeling that the floor is "slipping from under your feet," both literally and figuratively.

However, it is not limited to modern technology. It also maintains a traditional exhibition format. For example, one of the halls tells the entire story of Vincent's life in chronological order, focusing on key events.

Another hall functions as a gallery, showcasing dozens of famous paintings, including a large self-portrait of the artist measuring 200x200 cm. All exhibited paintings are accurate 1:1 replicas created by contemporary artists.

Why visit the exhibition?

It is a mistake to think that such an exhibition is only for those who understand art. Its goal is to be open to everyone who wishes to feel new emotions and experiences. This place will attract:

  • art enthusiasts;
  • seekers of new experiences and emotions;
  • those who want to spend an evening, meeting, or date unusually and interestingly.

The exhibition will take you through the artist's entire life. From his early canvases to the works that gained international fame. It will take approximately 60-90 minutes to travel into the world of Van Gogh. But even this time will be enough to forget about reality and dive into another dimension.
