The model is supplied in a mid-sized cardboard box with a rather restrained design – a white background complemented by other colors and a detailed image of the gadget. Technical specifications and informative details about the manufacturer are separately indicated. More details can be seen in the following photographs.
Design and Build Quality
The design of the EcoFlow RAPID Power Bank 25000 mAh (EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU) can confidently be awarded. From my own experience, I can say that I haven’t encountered anything more interesting among power banks. It looks truly stunning, and at first glance, it's hard to guess that it's a portable charger. Rather, it resembles a case for jewelry, hiding a priceless gift inside. Can it be worth a million? This comparison each consumer can assess personally. The main thing is that the EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU looks unique, and some devices like iPhone, iPad, or Mac will seem merely as complements to it. It is worth noting that the glossy finish is less resistant to environmental damage. Although during our testing month we did not encounter serious issues, I still recommend purchasing a soft case to maintain its appearance. One more point I would like to mention is the quality oleophobic coating, which allows easy cleaning of fingerprints without harming the glossy look.
The main part of the case is made of heat-resistant plastic, likely ABS, providing high wear resistance.
On the bottom panel, there is a rubber covering that indicates manufacturer data and electrical specifications of the ports, markings, etc.
Metal elements are only around the ports and interfaces. While the internal parts can manage without them, I cannot provide more information for this reason.
Regarding the build quality, there are no complaints. We have a truly great combination of materials, with clear layout and impressive quality.
Functional Elements and More
The glossy front panel is not just a stylish design element. It also contains an elegantly integrated display, which gives the device a sense of prestige. The display is "smart," as mentioned before; we'll talk about the details next.
On the left side panel, there is a type-C port, next to it – important information: power, data about the model's air transport capability and in/out. This indicates that through this port, you can charge both the power bank itself and other devices from the EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU. The specification "C2" will be clarified later.
On the top panel, there are two ports – type-C and USB with icons C2 and A – we will talk about them too. Next to the type-C is also a note in/out, which provides additional functionality. It can be said that not every second power bank can boast such a combination of functionality. The USB port, in turn, is designed solely for output, which, in my opinion, is quite logical.
On the right side panel, there is a button that allows checking the charge level of the power bank. But functionality does not end here, and I will talk about this in the next section.
At the bottom, there is a rubber insert with technical information and excellent grip properties on any surface on which the EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU is located at the moment.
Display Capabilities
So, as I mentioned earlier, the display of the EcoFlow RAPID Power Bank 25000 mAh (EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU) is not limited to showing the charge level. The user receives information about the battery status, current temperature, and number of recharge cycles. But that's not all! By pressing and holding the aforementioned button for a few seconds, you can access a special technical submenu that displays the current load on each of the ports. Personally, I like this solution.
Our Testing
The total power of 170 W allows charging everything, including laptops. Therefore, we decided to connect portable computers directly. And, by the way, an interesting observation – the EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU can simultaneously power two models. In our case, they were DELL and Apple. The testing results are presented in the following illustrations.
Now it is worth familiarizing yourself with the table on the manufacturer's website, which reveals the potential of the ports. It is important to remember that 170 W is the total power of the EF-RAPID25K140W-S-EU, not the power of an individual port. This table clearly demonstrates how this power is distributed among the ports depending on the connected consumers. And, of course, it proves the possibility of simultaneously charging two laptops with this EcoFlow model.
Charging and Conclusions
This model offers the fastest charging among power banks I've ever seen. Practical tests with the 100 W Gembird TA-UC-PDQC100LCD-01-BK proved that charging occurs at a maximum power of 60 W, and it takes just over one and a half hours from a few percent to a full charge.
In conclusion, we have one of the best power bank models capable of handling any tasks related to charging and power supply via USB. It undoubtedly stands out with its design in my personal rating.
