Last night, November 23, the city of Kharkiv once again became a target for enemy drones, resulting in a massive attack on the territory of the regional center. According to official sources, 4 people died as a result of the shelling, and another 13 were injured.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, the first explosions were heard around 21:30. The situation in the city became critical as reports of numerous drone strikes began to arrive from various districts. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov urged residents to remain cautious on his Telegram channel, as further strikes might occur.
In messages from Synegubov, it was specified that not only adults but also children were affected by the strikes. Preliminary reports indicate that two of the injured are children. Fires were recorded in several areas, including in Shevchenkivskyi district, as a result of an enemy drone hitting a private house.
At the same time, Mayor Terekhov noted that three residential buildings were destroyed and energy infrastructure, including a transformer substation, was damaged due to the attack. The city is experiencing power outages, and electricity has vanished in several areas.
This attack continues a series of enemy shelling that Kharkiv has been enduring in recent weeks. Just on the night of November 19, the city suffered drone strikes, injuring 46 people.
All city services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and provide assistance to the victims. Authorities urge residents to follow safety rules and monitor information from official sources.
