The streaming platform “Twitch” has finally introduced support for the Ukrainian language in its mobile app. This important news has received a positive response among Ukrainian users, who are already actively sharing screenshots of the new localization on social media.
Currently, the Ukrainian language is available for “Twitch” users on iOS platforms, while support on Android is implemented in a beta version. Android users can join the beta testing by going to Google Play, where they need to wait for confirmation and an app update.
Background of the localization
This initiative is the result of a long struggle by Ukrainian activists. The first petition for the implementation of the Ukrainian language in the “Twitch” interface was created nine years ago. During the existence of this issue, activists have repeatedly reached out to the platform developers to obtain confirmation of Ukrainian language support.
According to the latest information, in 2025 a new petition was launched on the platform itself, which was voted for by over 28 thousand users. “Twitch,” considering the numerous appeals, ultimately decided to take this important step towards its Ukrainian audience.
