On the night of January 23, a fire occurred at an oil depot in the Russian city of Penza due to a drone attack.

Direct quote from the governor: "I am at the scene. According to updated information, 4 drones were destroyed by air defense systems. One of the fragments fell on the territory of the oil depot, which led to the fire. Emergency services are currently working here."

Details: According to preliminary data from Russian authorities, "there are no dead or injured."

"The fire" was extinguished by 46 rescuers with the support of 14 units of equipment.

Updated: Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 12 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight. 7 of them were allegedly shot down over the Belgorod region, 2 over Voronezh, and one each over Bryansk, Penza, and Astrakhan regions of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally does not provide information on the total number of drones that attacked military and energy facilities on the territory of Russia, nor on how many of them reached their targets.
