Large-Scale Russian Attack on Kyiv

On the night of December 27, Russian troops launched a powerful rocket strike on the city of Kyiv, resulting in numerous civilian facilities being damaged, including residential buildings and educational institutions.

Damage in Various City Districts

According to city authorities, Russian rocket strikes caused significant destruction in several Kyiv districts:

  • In the Darnytsya district, three multi-story buildings (24-, 18-, and 10-story) caught fire
  • In the Solom'yanka district, the National Aviation University dormitory was damaged
  • In the Shevchenko district, a 10-story building was damaged

Attack Consequences

Preliminary data indicates that at least ten people were injured, including two children. Fires engulfed residential buildings, vehicles, and other infrastructure facilities.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that rescue workers are working at the damage sites, evacuating residents and attempting to localize the fires.

Scale of Russian Attack

Russia used various types of weapons, including shaheds, ballistic missiles, launched from MiG-31K and Tu-95MS aircraft. The city was subjected to a powerful rocket attack, which affected both civilian and infrastructure facilities.

Kyiv's air defense worked in an enhanced mode that night, attempting to intercept and destroy enemy rockets.
