Corruption Scandal in the Verkhovna Rada

Detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SAP) have uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme among people's deputies from the "Servant of the People" faction.

Mechanism of the Corruption Group

According to the investigation, a group of people's deputies created an organized criminal group for systematically receiving illegal benefits for voting in the Verkhovna Rada. The amount of bribes ranged from $2,000 to $20,000.

Investigation Details

Among the suspects are people's deputies Yevhen Pyvovarov, Ihor Nehulevskyi, Olha Savchenko, and Yurii Kisel. Group coordination occurred through a specially created WhatsApp messenger group, where voting instructions were given.

Scale of the Corruption Scheme

According to preliminary data, one of the group members received over $145,000 with subsequent distribution among deputies. Funds were distributed every Thursday depending on the "voting effectiveness".

Currently, all suspected deputies have been served with notices of suspicion. The investigation is ongoing.
