On February 5, 2026, an air alert was declared in Lviv after a "Shahed" type drone attacked the city. According to reports from officials, the drone was launched by Russian occupiers from the Volyn region, but thanks to the coordinated actions of the local mobile fire group, the drone was destroyed.

The attack began after 4:00 PM, and just a few minutes later, the residents of Lviv heard the sounds of explosions. According to information from Andriy Sadovyi, the mayor of Lviv, the attack was aimed at a critical infrastructure facility, but thankfully, no one was injured and no significant damage was recorded.
