Cold Week in the Capital: Temperature Will Drop to Critical Marks

Ukrhydrometeorological Center warned Ukrainians about a sharp cold snap expected in the coming days. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will reach -17°-21°, and during the day will remain within -10°-15° of frost.

According to meteorologists, on January 13-14, the capital is expected to have no significant precipitation, with a predominant westerly wind at a speed of 3-8 m/s. On January 15, light snow and an easterly wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s are forecast.

Temperature Fluctuations Across the Country

The strongest frosts up to -22° are expected in northern Ukraine, and in the northeast, temperatures may drop to -24° in some places. Natalia Ptukha from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center reported that Arctic air masses are entering the country, causing a sharp temperature drop.

The next three nights are predicted to be the coldest, especially in the central and northern regions.
