Ukraine is being covered by a powerful wave of Arctic cold that will bring extremely low temperatures in the coming days. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, temperatures may drop to -20°C at night in some regions.

- Northern Cold Pole: temperatures down to -20°C at night
- Center and East: -12...-17°C at night, -8°C to -13°C during the day
- Transcarpathia and South: -6...-11°C at night, -2...-7°C during the day
- Crimea: the mildest zone with temperatures down to -6°C at night
Weather in Kyiv
The capital region will be in the epicenter of cold air. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko reported that the following is expected:
- -14...-17°C at night
- Around -10°C during the day
- Cloudy weather with occasional clearings
- No significant precipitation
Warning for Drivers
There is a high probability of ice on the country's roads. Meteorologists recommend being especially careful, as slippery surfaces create risks for road users.
A warming trend is expected no earlier than the second half of January, although the exact dates have not yet been determined.
