The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has presented an updated version of the mobile application "Army+", which will include new features such as Army ID and an updated "Pulse" feed. This was reported by the head of digital products at the Ministry of Defense, Mstyslav Banik, during the Digital Defence Forum. According to him, the new version is an important step in the development of digital solutions for the Ukrainian military.
Adapted features will provide military personnel with access to current information about their service, updates, and necessary clarifications in a convenient electronic format. It has been noted that by the end of the year, it will be possible to use an electronic defender's ID — Army ID, which will ensure the security of military documents during service.
What's new in "Army+"?
The updates will concern the quality and convenience of using the application. In particular, during leave, military personnel will be able to submit leave requests without the need to travel to their commanders. Requests for health benefits will also be able to be processed electronically.
- Launch of Army ID for electronic defender's ID.
- Updated "Pulse" feed with important information.
- Automatic leave confirmation function without paper documents.
- Notification service about changes in service.
According to Banik, the updated services will be operational after December 22, providing military personnel with access to useful information and reducing the need for paper documents. This digitalization is becoming an important part of the development of military structures in Ukraine.
The Digital Defence Forum also announced the creation of a military IT vertical, which involves the introduction of 7,000 digital officers who will work in various commands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is an important step for improving the implementation of modern technologies in the military sphere.
