The air defense forces stopped 98 out of 120 drones that Russian occupiers used to attack Ukraine since the evening of August 10.
According to Ukrinform, this information was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the official channel in the Telegram messenger.
Starting from 6:00 pm on August 10, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv with missiles such as "Zircon," "Iskander-M"/KN-23 from regions of Russia, and also launched an attack on Ukraine using 120 drones of the Shahed type, "Herbera," and drone-imitators "Parody" from: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), temporarily occupied Donetsk, Gvardiyske (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The Ukrainian armed forces repelled the enemy attacks using aviation, air defense, EW units, and unmanned platforms, as well as mobile fire groups.
According to preliminary data, by 9:00 am on August 11, the air defense had destroyed or pushed back 98 drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.
Hits of defensive systems were recorded in 21 locations, as well as the fall of destroyed targets (fragments) in 5 points.
The incident is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the airspace.
As a result of the combined Russian strike in Zaporizhzhia, six people were killed, and another 19 were injured.
Due to the missile strike in Kyiv, hits were recorded on the territory of one of the children's hospitals and a fire outbreak in a warehouse. A 28-year-old man was killed.
