Unexpected Change in Diplomatic Career

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who recently took the position of ambassador to the United Kingdom, plans to leave diplomatic service. According to Radio NV, he may announce his resignation as early as the beginning of January 2026.

According to sources close to the President's Office, Zaluzhnyi has already discussed his decision with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a recent visit to Kyiv. The parties considered various options for his future career, including positions of prime minister and head of the Presidential Office.
