Every day at 9:00 AM, a special moment occurs in Ukraine — a nationwide minute of silence, designed to honor the memory of those killed as a result of the full-scale Russian aggression.

Presidential Decree

On March 16, 2022, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a decree introducing a daily minute of silence. Its purpose is not only to preserve the memory of the fallen but also to remind every citizen of the price of freedom and independence.

How Memory is Honored in Cities

In Ukrainian cities, including Volodymyr, Kryvyi Rih, and other settlements, people stop at work, in educational institutions, and on the streets to honor the heroes.

Symbol of Unity

The minute of silence has become a powerful symbol of Ukrainian national unity, a tribute of respect to military and civilian individuals who gave their lives for Ukraine's freedom.
