Today, during the execution of a combat mission, the crew of the Mi-24 helicopter from the "12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after General-cornet Viktor Pavlenko," based in the city of Novyi Kalyniv, Lviv region, was killed. This tragedy is an irreparable loss for the aviators, Ukraine, and the families of the four deceased who were eagerly awaiting their loved ones at home.
According to the brigade's press service, details regarding the circumstances of the crew's death have not been disclosed. Currently, a fundraiser has been opened in the unit for the families of the deceased. The details for assistance have been published in the brigade's announcement.
The "Mi-24," also known as Hind, is a Soviet attack helicopter that supports infantry and armored units. In Ukraine, it remains an important part of military aviation.
This event has posed yet another challenge for the military, who continue their heroic resistance. Earlier this year, other tragedies occurred at the front, when pilots of various combat aircraft were killed as a result of enemy attacks.
The public is urged to express their support for the families of the fallen aviators, as their sacrifice deserves memory and honor.
