The situation in the Hulyaipole direction remains tense, as evidenced by recent events. According to representatives of the Southern Defense Forces, Ukrainian units were forced to regroup and reform their defensive positions after one of the Ukrainian units left their positions without coordination.
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, emphasized that as a result of this retreat, enemy forces were able to flank the Ukrainian troops. "The exposed flank posed a threat to the personnel of the adjacent unit, which found itself unprotected," he noted. During the fighting, several Ukrainian soldiers are considered missing in action.
According to Voloshyn, Ukrainian defenders destroy 250-300 occupiers daily, but the enemy continues active assault operations, trying to encircle Hulyaipole. "The situation is indeed complex; however, encirclement is not happening. Communication with our fighters is maintained, logistical supply is established, and evacuation of the wounded is ongoing," he emphasized.
Context of the events
On Tuesday, November 27, the military analytical project "DeepState" reported that the situation in Hulyaipole has intensified, but thanks to timely decisions by the command, full occupation has been avoided. Analyzing the circumstances, experts noted that military actions became the basis for slowing down the advance of Russian troops towards Hulyaipole.
Voloshyn also reminded that earlier, Ukrainian military was forced to retreat from several positions in the Zaporizhzhia region, but the command is responding swiftly to the situation, making necessary decisions to conserve forces and resources.
The situation in Hulyaipole continues to remain under the control of the Ukrainian military, and although shelling from the enemy has intensified, efforts by the Ukrainian defense forces have managed to stabilize the situation in the area encompassing this strategic city.
