During the night before January 20, Russia launched a powerful rocket and drone strike on Kyiv and several other Ukrainian cities, resulting in the loss of heat, electricity, and water in many settlements.
Scale of the Attack
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russian troops attacked Kyiv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and other key energy centers with ballistic missiles and shahed drones.
Consequences in Kyiv
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported that as a result of the attack, 5,635 multi-story buildings were left without heat. The left bank of the city was most affected - electricity, water, and heat were cut off. One 59-year-old woman was injured.
Attacks in Other Cities
In Dnipro, a fire broke out as a result of the strike, and two elderly women were injured. In Odesa, civilian infrastructure was damaged, and in Chornomorsk, a residential building was hit. In Zaporizhzhia, three people were injured.
