On the night of January 20, Russian troops launched a massive strike on Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine. The attack began around two in the morning.
Attack Details
According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, the occupiers attacked the capital with ballistic missiles and drones. In the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv, hits on non-residential buildings were recorded.
Strike Consequences
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported serious infrastructure damage:
- Power supply disruptions on the left bank of the city
- Water supply problems
- Fires in warehouse areas
- Burning vehicles
As of 03:51, the air raid alert has been lifted in Kyiv.
Warning
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously warned about the possibility of a new massive strike by Russia.
