In Odesa today, traffic was reopened on the M-15 highway "Odesa – Reni" within the village of Maiaky, where restrictions were lifted in both directions following Russian shelling. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department Oleksiy Biloshytskyi on his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, in the next 48 hours, further improvements in transport connections across the Dniester River are planned, where a bridge was damaged. The Head of the Odesa Military Administration Oleh Kiper noted that traffic for passenger cars and small trucks has already been partially restored.
“The stable operation of financial institutions has been restored, banks are operating on their regular schedule, and ATMs are stocked with cash. "Nova Poshta" branches are once again accepting and sending parcels, and pensions and other payments are delivered on time,” emphasized Kiper.
As a reminder, earlier Russian occupation forces carried out strikes on the bridge in Maiaky, leading to a temporary closure of traffic. The Head of the Recovery Agency Serhiy Sukhomlyn stated that despite Russian attempts to disconnect Bessarabia from the rest of the Odesa region, restoration of routes continues, and parcels for Christmas and New Year will be delivered on time.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko also stated that the government and international partners are actively working to mitigate the consequences of the attacks, ensuring alternative transport routes.
