At the 52nd session of the Korosten City Council, the budget and community development plan for 2026 were approved. The total budget amounts to 798.3 million UAH, of which 782.5 million UAH are own revenues. Expenditures are planned in the amount of 779.3 million UAH.

During the meeting, deputies supported several strategic decisions that will contribute to economic growth. One of the key aspects was the Community Social and Economic Development Program, which focuses on supporting industry, the agricultural sector, and entrepreneurship. The head of the economic department, Volodymyr Stuzhuk, noted that the development of the "Korosten Green Tech" industrial park and the opening of a McDonald's network establishment on the main street will help create new jobs and increase tax revenues.

The program also pays great attention to social support. Implementation of measures for Ukraine's defenders will continue, for which the budget provides 6.7 million UAH. The development of medical infrastructure is also expected, including the creation of an inclusive medical space and a new surgical department.

New city council deputy Valentyna Stepanchuk, a representative of the "For the Future" party, joined the council's work. Her election was prompted by a sad event, namely the death of deputy Dmytro Boiko.

In addition, a number of awards were presented: the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal was posthumously awarded to the mother of the fallen Hero Vladyslav Kuznichenko, and the "Cross of Military Honor" badge was received by Anatoliy Vyhivskyi. The awards were presented by Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Hryv’iuk of the Sich Riflemen Border Detachment.

Thanks to international cooperation, the program provides for the attraction of technical and financial support for infrastructure projects, increasing energy efficiency, and social initiatives.
