Today, a large-scale air alert has been declared in Ukraine due to attacks from the Russian Federation. At the same time, in the capital, the city of Kyiv, numerous cases of debris falling from enemy drones have been recorded.
Night Attack on Kyiv: Event Details
At 2:00 AM, an air alert was announced in Kyiv, which lasted for over 2 hours. During the attack, it was noted that Russian drones attacked the city from several directions: in some areas of the city, both material and human losses were reported.
Casualties and Consequences
According to reports from Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, there are reports of two injured women. One of them, aged 79, was hospitalized, while 89-year-old woman received medical assistance at the scene. The main impact of the attack fell on the Solomianskyi district, where debris hit several multi-storey buildings, shattering windows and damaging facades.
Injuries were also recorded in the residential sector, where cars and social infrastructure objects were damaged. In particular, debris damaged the facade of a kindergarten and windows in a shopping center.
In another area—the Obolon district—a fire broke out due to falling debris; however, firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
Situation in Other Districts
- Shevchenkivskyi District: debris struck the roof of an office building, causing fires.
- Darnytskyi District: debris fell near a café, but the building itself was not damaged.
Currently, the police and emergency services are actively working at the scenes, documenting the aftermath of the shelling and providing assistance to the victims.
