On Thursday, December 4, large-scale restrictions on electricity consumption are being implemented across Ukraine. This comes in response to Russian attacks, which have once again targeted energy facilities, resulting in losses in electricity supply.
According to information released by the company "Ukrenergo," hourly shutdown schedules will be applied from 00:00 to 23:59, with volumes ranging from 0.5 to 3 shifts. Power limitation schedules for industrial consumers have also been implemented for the same time period.
Shutdown Schedules for Regions of Ukraine
- Kyiv: electricity will be unavailable for an average of up to 8 hours.
- Kyiv Oblast: the duration of power outages may reach up to 7 hours.
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: power will be absent for up to 9.5 hours.
- Odesa Oblast: maximum outages are up to 8.5 hours.
- Lviv: new shutdown schedules were published today, particularly due to the updated situation with electricity supply.
In "Ukrenergo," it is emphasized that the timing and volume of outages may vary. Therefore, consumers are encouraged to use electricity sparingly when it is available.
These restrictions are not the first case in recent weeks. As a result of previous attacks by the Russian Federation, many regions have already faced crisis situations in the energy system, leaving hundreds of thousands of people without electricity.
Currently, the energy company "DTEK" has also provided its shutdown schedules for cities such as Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
The situation in the energy sector remains extremely tense, and all Ukrainians must be prepared for possible changes in shutdown schedules.
