Today, February 12, 2026, a massive air alert was announced in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine. According to monitoring public sources, the reason for the alert is a missile threat, particularly due to the risk of ballistic weapon use.
The alert lasted for almost half an hour, and according to information disseminated by Ukrainian military sources, the Russians may have launched an "Oreshnik" type missile at Ukraine. However, this information has not yet been confirmed.
All-clear signal
At 12:48, an all-clear signal sounded in the capital and other regions, allowing citizens to calmly return to their usual lives. As is known, during the night of February 12, Russian forces conducted a massive attack on Ukraine, using 219 strike drones and 25 missiles aimed at energy facilities in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro.
Actions of Ukrainian defense forces
It is important to note that, in conditions of difficult weather, the main and most effective means of air defense remain the anti-aircraft missile troops, capable of operating in all weather conditions.
In addition to this, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully conducted an operation overnight on February 12, hitting a storage arsenal of missiles and ammunition in the Volgograd region of Russia.
The situation remains under the control of the relevant services, and citizens are advised to follow safety instructions in wartime conditions.
