On the night of December 6, 2023, the aggressor launched a massive missile and drone strike on critical energy infrastructure in Ukraine. Regions affected include Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, on the morning of December 6, consumers in Odesa, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv were without power. "Emergency recovery operations are already being carried out where security conditions allow," the ministry noted.
In all regions of Ukraine, schedules for rolling blackouts are being implemented. This decision has been made due to significant destruction in the energy system and the ongoing struggle with the consequences of missile attacks.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that "energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the entire energy network as quickly as possible" and reminded that current outage schedules and power limits for industrial consumers are available on the official resources of regional electricity operators. Thus, residents can familiarize themselves with the latest data on the pages of their regional electricity companies.
It is emphasized that the issues of safety and restoration of electricity supply remain a priority for the state and energy companies.
