On Saturday, December 6, restrictions on electricity consumption will be introduced in Ukraine due to the consequences of enemy attacks on the energy infrastructure. Ukrenergo reports that schedules for hourly power outages will be in effect across all regions. The outages will last from 00:00 to 23:59 and will include from 0.5 to 2.5 shifts.

Energy workers continue to address the consequences of attacks by Russian troops on energy facilities that occurred in recent days. The power outages will affect both residential and industrial consumers. According to the head of Ukrenergo, Vitaliy Zaichenko, the worst situation with electricity supply is currently observed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions.

Power Outage Schedules for Regions

  • Kiev: In the capital, power will be turned off in 12 half-shifts, with most consumers remaining without electricity twice a day.
  • Kiev Region: Electricity supply will be limited twice a day for two-thirds of consumers.
  • Dnipropetrovsk Region: The power outage will occur once a day from 13:30 to 17:00.

Energy workers have urged Ukrainians to monitor updates on the official Facebook pages of regional energy companies, as schedules may change. Officials also emphasized the need for energy-efficient consumption after power restoration.

Among predictions, the complete restoration of the Ukrainian energy system may take up to 8 years, indicating the possibility of continued outages both in winter and summer during peak periods.
