The defenders of "Seversk" reported that the situation in the city remains tense as of December 11, 2025, specifically denying information about the capture of "Seversk" by Russian troops. According to the Eastern Operational Command, while specific groups of the enemy are indeed able to infiltrate the basements of apartment buildings, the city remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military noted that Russian units attempted to use adverse weather conditions for infiltration; however, Ukrainian forces are inflicting significant losses on the enemy. In a statement from the 11th Army Corps, it was reported that on the approaches to the northern part of "Seversk," Ukrainian fighters are destroying up to half of the attacking forces. Nevertheless, small groups of the occupiers continue to attempt to establish their flags on buildings to create a false impression of control over the city.

"Any attempts by the enemy to establish control over the city result in new losses for them," the statement reads. Currently, Ukrainian forces are addressing the tasks of maintaining their positions despite the challenging operational situation in the region. This incident has also been reflected in the information space, where Russian media are actively spreading false information about control over "Seversk."

It is worth noting that recently Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed "successes" of the occupying army, without mentioning the challenges faced by his troops, highlighting the vast gap between the reality on the front lines and propaganda claims.
