Today, Raiffeisen Bank in Ukraine is actively promoting a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities, focusing on accessible financial services. As part of its barrier-free strategy, the bank has already adapted 225 branches, of which 195 are fully inclusive, ensuring physical accessibility and the latest technologies.

Steps Towards Inclusivity

It’s not just about the presence of ramps and convenient entrances. Raiffeisen Bank's inclusive branches are equipped with ATMs at convenient heights, the ability to receive consultations in sign language, and innovative services for people with visual and hearing impairments. Oksana Shevchenko, Deputy Chairwoman of Raiffeisen Bank, stated: "Accessibility for us is not just about physical space, it’s about respecting every individual and their needs."

Support for Veterans and Changing Culture

The bank is also actively working with veterans. Currently, over 50 veterans are part of its team, and about 300 more serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Raiffeisen Bank has launched a support program for military personnel, including medical assistance, rehabilitation, and adaptation to new jobs.

Additionally, Raiffeisen Bank is developing an internal culture of inclusivity, which includes training employees and creating a comfortable environment for all staff, regardless of their physical abilities.

Digital Accessibility – A New Development Vector

The bank is also working on digital accessibility. For example, the MyRaif app is being adapted to the international WCAG standards for barrier-free interaction with financial services. It is expected that by 2026, the app will become even more user-friendly for individuals with special needs.

Oksana Shevchenko also added: "Barrier-free access is becoming the new norm; we aim for 75% of our branches to be fully inclusive by 2025."

In conclusion, Raiffeisen Bank continues to take significant steps towards inclusive and barrier-free banking, striving to ensure equal opportunities for all its clients.
