In the city of Bashatanka in the Mykolaiv region, plans are underway to begin the construction of a new shelter for homeless animals. This project, which has received support from local authorities, aims to improve the living conditions of stray animals and increase citizens' responsibility for their fate.
According to community representatives, the new shelter will be equipped with modern facilities for the care of animals, as well as provide opportunities for their vaccination and treatment. This step is part of a large-scale animal protection program in the region, which aims to reduce the number of stray animals on the streets of the city.
“It is necessary to create conditions to improve the welfare of animals that have found themselves in difficult situations. We hope that this will be the first step towards forming a more conscious attitude of society towards animals,” noted a city council deputy.
Project Goals
- Providing homeless animals with fresh food and medical care.
- Conducting informational campaigns among the population about responsible attitudes towards pets.
- Finding new owners for the animals in the shelter.
The opening of the shelter is expected to help not only the animals but also improve the image of Bashatanka as a city that cares for its homeless residents. The project has already received a positive response from local residents and volunteers who are ready to participate in its implementation.
